Heads of the SEB Group meeting the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania on a visit to Sweden
On Wednesday, President of the SEB Group Annika Falkengren and Head of SEB Baltic Division David Teare had a meeting with the prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania currently on a visit to Sweden. At the meeting, economic perspectives and the banking system stability were discussed.
Heads of the SEB Group and the Prime Minister of Lithuania discussed such issues and economic recovery in the region, the role of SMEs in creating new jobs and the importance of the stability of banks for sustainable economy development.
“Economy growth will depend on the policy of Swedish banks in Lithuania. Therefore, we believe that by adhering to responsible lending principles banks will make a pro-active contribution towards economy growth, their special focus being small and mediums enterprises,” said Lithuania’s Prime Minister A. Kubilius.
